Kunene through to the final

Host region Kunene are through to the final of the Nedbank Namibia Newspaper Cup after beating //Kharas 3-1 on Sunday afternoon. 

A brace by Matino Kauzuu and a third goal by Brundihno Kandirikirira booked their spot in the final to send their home fans in Outjo wild with delight. 

//Kharas did the early attacking creating several chances but Kunene keeper Mcheni Kavendjii kept them at bay with some brave saves to deny Gianno Bostander and Vince Roman.

Kunene took the lead against the run of play when Kauzuu volleyed in at the far post from a corner after 13 minutes. 

Dixon Khuwiseb also came close for Kunene, heading just over the bar from a corner, but Kauzuu completed his brace with a first-time volley in injury time of the first half to put Kunene 2-0 ahead at the halftime break. 

//Kharas opened their account when captain Roman rose high to head home from a corner on 46 minutes, but Kandirikirira sealed Kunene’s win when he shot in off the post with 10 minutes to go. 

//Kharas pushed hard in the final stages, winning two free kicks, but they could not capitalise as Kunene completed a resounding win.
