A Namibian woman identified as Claudia Kambanza (22) was allegedly murdered by her partner in the city of Hull in the UK on Friday.
According to a Humberside police report, a 28-year-old Namibian man was arrested in connection with Kambanza’s murder.
“The woman was taken to the hospital to receive treatment, but despite the efforts of medical professionals, she died from her injuries a short while later.
The suspect has been charged with her murder and being in possession of a bladed article in a public place,” reads the report. He was expected to appear at Hull Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Namibian Police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi con- firmed they have received the report through Interpol, saying the suspect and the deceased are believed to be Namibians.
