//Kharas win southern derby

//Kharas took the lead in Group A of the Nedbank Namibia Newspaper Cup after beating Hardap 2-0 in the southern derby on Saturday. 

First half goals by Gilberto Vries and Bradley Frederick gave them the win which maintained their unbeaten run as they move up to nine points after three matches. 

Oshikoto and Zambezi shared the spoils in a 3-3 thriller, which put Zambezi second on four points, followed by Hardap on three and Oshikoto on one. 

Kunene took the lead in Group B after beating Oshana 1-0 in their final match on Saturday. 

It was Oshana’s first defeat after they had a goal disallowed for offside. Kunene top the log on 7 points followed by Oshana on 6. 

Ohangwena finished third on 2 points after drawing 1-1 against Khomas, with the latter finishing bottom of the group on 1 point. 

Kavango East took the lead in Group C after drawing 1-1 against Omusati. They top the log on 4 points after two matches, followed by Omusati on 1 and Erongo on 0. 

Kavango West top Group D on 4 points after beating Otjozondjupa 1-0 on Saturday morning. They are followed by Omaheke on 1 and Otjozondjupa on 0 points.
