Kenyan president William Ruto has described the late founding president, Sam Nujoma, as a selfless and courageous leader.
Nujoma died in Windhoek on Saturday at the age of 95.
President Nangolo Mbumba announced Nujoma’s death on Sunday morning.
Ruto stated that Kenya stands in solidarity with the people of Namibia in mourning Nujoma’s death.
“President Nujoma was a selfless, courageous, and visionary leader, who dedicated his life to the liberation and development of his country,” he wrote.
