Kenya Airways half-year profits rise

NAIROBI – Kenya Airways posted a rise in profits for the first half of its financial year, but warned on Friday that high oil prices and competition could depress profits in the second half.

The airline, one of Africa’s best performing airlines, said after-tax profits jumped to 2,2 billion shillings in the six months to September from 1,5 billion in the same period the previous year.
