This summer has delivered a rich basket of new releases that cut across genres, moods and generations, offering something for every listener.
From seasoned hitmakers to fresh voices, Afrobeats to hip-hop, gospel-inspired reflections to party anthems, local artists have stepped up with projects designed to soundtrack the holidays and beyond.

Tate Buti – ‘Ombulu’

Award-winning artist Tate Buti is back just in time for the festive season with ‘Ombulu’, a bold and deeply personal album.
The 23-track project sees Tate digging deep into sound, soul and truth, on a journey he has openly described as one of honesty and artistic vulnerability.
The album boasts an impressive list of collaborators, including regulars Top Cheri, DJ Vuyo and KP Illest.
‘Ombulu’ is particularly dear to the artist, who made headlines after tracking down someone who uploaded the album to YouTube without his consent, underlining how personal the project is to him.

His five-track album ‘Fake Love’ expands his creative palette and features artists such as Stakes Boy.

James Omlongo – ‘Kombinga Aishe’
Dancer-turned-artist James Omlongo has released an album titled after his popular song ‘Kombinga Aishe’.
The 13-track album includes songs such as ‘Party’, ‘Today’ and ‘For The Sake of Love’, blending feel-good vibes with emotional storytelling.
Initially priced at N$1 000, with the artist citing the amount of work that went into the project, the album was later made more accessible at N$300.

ML Musik – ‘Mukwahepo’

True to form, ML Musik continues to give generously to her fans.
She has dropped a holiday special EP titled ‘Mukwahepo’, a virtual offering that she describes as a heartfelt gift.
Proudly African and creatively adventurous, ML Musik collaborates with producers from as far as Tanzania.
The EP includes tracks such as ‘Grab’ and ‘Destiny’, and is available to listen to on YouTube, perfect for road trips and festive journeys.

OB Breezy – ‘Youngest in Charge’

Hip-hop fans are not left out this Dezemba. OB Breezy delivers an EP titled ‘Youngest in Charge’, showcasing confidence and lyrical sharpness.
The project features 2Guns on tracks such as ‘I Know’ and ‘How They Feel’. With a sound that speaks to ambition and growth, the EP is available on all major streaming platforms, including iTunes and Spotify, making it easily accessible to fans locally and abroad.

Top Cheri – ‘I Am Monika’

Known for her distinctive album titles and artistic depth, Top Cheri returns with what she refers to as her final album, ‘I Am Monika’.
The 18-track project is designed to keep listeners company as they reflect on the year that was.
Produced in part by the renowned Andrew On The Beat, the album features collaborations with Dion PDK and Exit, among others.
The project is available on YouTube and offers a wholesome, reflective listening experience.

Gazza – New Singles

The Captain of the Ship continues to dominate with a string of new singles.
‘Blessing’ sees Gazza in a reflective and grateful mood, while ‘Step by Step’, featuring Jaliza, speaks to perseverance and steady growth.
‘Shikishiki’, featuring Nally, brings playful energy and dance floor appeal, and ‘Va Rundu’, featuring Dunana, is a celebratory nod to regional pride and cultural flavour.

Star’Esh –  ‘Friends’

Otjiwarongo’s rising star Star’Esh has just released her debut single, ‘Friends’, a smooth and soulful blend of emotion and melody.
The track is produced by Kalloon The Beat and is already making waves as a promising introduction to the young artist’s sound. The single is available for listening across digital platforms.

Dee A – ‘Pain and Glory’

Meanwhile, Namibian gospel artist Dee A released his album ‘Pain and Glory’ late in 2025.
The project is one of his most personal so far, blending gospel with more modern sounds.
Through the album, Dee A shares messages of faith, hope, love and resilience, offering music that speaks to both the heart and the spirit.

Page Ethnix – ‘The Vibration’

Page Ethnix has also dropped an eight-track EP titled ‘The Vibration’, mixed and mastered by Andrew On The Beat and Mr Glo Solani.
The EP is available on YouTube and brings together witty, catchy lyrics over a mix of well-crafted beats. 
The opening track, also called ‘The Vibration’, starts things off with a laid-back Afrobeat feel and speaks about loyalty and commitment to a love interest, making it an easy listen for anyone who enjoys smooth, emotional music.
