Muesee Kazapua has been re-elected as the mayor of Windhoek, while Fransina Kahungu will serve as deputy mayor.
Magistrate Ruth-Modesta Herunga announced his re-appointment during the swearing in of the City of Windhoek’s new council members at the Khomas Regional Council on Friday.
Kazapua was first appointed as Windhoek’s mayor in 2014, succeeding Agnes Kafula.
The 15 CoW council members sworn in on Friday are Kazapua; Matheus Amadhila; Brunhilde Cornelius; Agatha Iiyambo; Fransina Kahungu; Loide Kaiyamo; Joseph Kauandenge; Ananias Niizimba; Immanuel Paulus; Ignatius Semba; Moses Shiikwa; Ian Subasubani; Matrid Ukeva; Hileni Ulumbu and Tala Uwanga.
