Kavango West man dies after being run over by bus

A 24-year-old man died instantly after being run over by a bus at Epingiro village in the Kavango West region on Monday evening.

Police chief inspector Raimbert Muronga on Tuesday said the incident occurred at about 22h50 on the B8 road.

It is alleged that the 41-year-old driver of a Scania bus bumped a pedestrian who was sitting on the road.

The deceased, who was identified as Hiskia Nicolaus, is a cattle herder residing at the Epingiro village.

His body was transported to the Rundu hospital mortuary, and his next of kin have been informed.
Police investigations continue.
