Namibia University of Science and Technology (Nust) spokesperson John Haufiku says the suspension of the university’s chief legal adviser, Joshua Kaumbi, has not been cancelled as reported by the media on Thursday.
Kaumbi, who was suspended on allegations of leaking confidential information about Nust to the media, was suspended on 28 April.
“Kaumbi’s suspension hasn’t been cancelled, it is merely coming to an end because investigations are nearly complete,” Haufiku said.
Kaumbi is expected to resume work soon and attend a disciplinary hearing on “serious charges” brought against him, said Haufiku, thus the charges against Kaumbi remain in effect.
