THE Zambezi regional police are searching for a suspect involved in the shooting of a 53-year-old man at his house in the Choto location at Katima Mulilo on Monday.
Regional police spokesperson inspector Kisco Sitali told The Namibian they are investigating a case of attempted murder, malicious damage to property and unlawful discharge of a firearm.
This after a man allegedly broke the window of the room where the victim and his wife were sleeping at around 01h30 and fired a shot which injured him on his left elbow, he said.
“The victim sustained serious injuries as a result. He is currently admitted at Katima Mulilo District Hospital.
“Investigations into the matter continue,” Sitali said.
