Kangweson says his father has contributed a lot to the local music industry.
“Just because he is now a retired musician and does not release songs any more, people often think he is dead.
“I just want to make it clear that my father is alive and has been my good teacher and inspiration until today. That’s why we did a hit song together,” he says.
The song was produced by Bexa Charter.
“My father has given me the power and courage to start doing music and take it seriously when I started recording songs in the capital in 2016,” says Kangweson.
He plans shooting a music video for the song by next month.
He has worked with D-Kandjafa, Zomblam, Izzy, Drawer Loco and Longizo in his latest album.

The song is about in-laws’ behaviour.
Kangweson was born at Oupumako village and moved to Windhoek in 2015 to further his studies.
“But ever since I was young, I’ve been singing at Sunday school and school choirs. I’ve been dreaming of becoming a good artist one day, and I’ve also written some lyrics at my secondary school.”

In 2019, he met with music producer Zomblam and worked together under Uncle V Music Production.
He dropped his second album, ‘Enghono Dondaka’, in the same year, and his third, titled ‘Om’solodati’, in 2020, with hit songs ‘Ndikufepo Maita’ and ‘Ndana’.
