LEONARD Makili, better known as Kaboy Kamakili, has recently released his second album, titled ‘Teacher Boy’.
Kaboy shot to fame in 2019 and has since become one of Namibia’s favourite entertainers.
The artist, who was much talked about when he released his first album, ‘Zama boy’, says his second album aims to inspire young people.
“My album is titled ‘Teacher Boy’ because I have inspired many youths to also start singing. Through the album I am advising people to stop corruption and gender-based violence, and to always try and do what is right. I am also encouraging people to have fun and love each other,” Kaboy says.
For the new album he has collaborated with more artists than previously, he says.
The album features Exit, Adora, Tulison, Makilla, 2KO lavaduro, J-Kay Nakaye, Slow-P, Markes Haufiku, Kwaito Lager and King Gucci, among others.
Producers Bexxa Carter, DJ Vuyo, Chackie Beats, Momento and Nali Makhazola worked on the album.
“I was recognised last year after my freestyling video clips went viral on social media. My advice to upcoming artists is to concentrate and push hard, because there are many obstacles,” he says.
Kaboy also has a clothing brand, and fans can contact 081 732 8974 to get their hands on his latest album or a T-shirt.
