PREPARATIONS for this year’s Joyful Spirit Gospel Festival are full in swing with Boniswa Raluare and Sharif Baker from MTN Joyous Celebration making their way to Windhoek.
The two arrived in the capital yesterday for a site visit at the Independence Stadium. The award-winning and well-established gospel group from South Africa will be performing on 26 September and promise to musically and spiritually lift Namibia to the heavens.
MTN Joyous Celebration is an inspirational music extravaganza which comprises of loving interpretations of existing spirituals, traditional hymns and original compositions, all produced by the magical combination of its founders.
The performances boast a sterling cast of fresh, raw talent, handpicked from nail-biting competitive auditions amongst others.
Joyous Celebration has sold more than three million CDs and DVDs over the past 21 years, with 19 albums in total. Founded in 1994 by Lindelani Mkhize, Mthunzi Namba and Jabu Hlongwane, the group has visited African countries like Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Tickets to the show are available at Computicket outlets countrywide and cost N$100 for children aged 6 to 16, open stand tickets cost N$200 and reserved seating tickets cost N$300.
