Johnson fined for toilet theft

LONDON – Glen Johnson, a full-back from English football club Portsmouth, has been fined for attempted theft of a toilet, the Sun reported on Friday.

The England international, who is on loan from Chelsea, was served a fixed-penalty notice for 80 pounds along with Millwall forward Ben May following the incident in DIY store B&Q in Dartford, Kent. According to the newspaper, the duo placed a toilet seat in a box for a cheaper model, and attempted to avoid paying for taps by concealing them under a sink.”We all recognised Johnson. No one could quite believe a bloke like him, with all that money, would be moronic enough to nick a toilet seat. But that’s what him and May were doing,” a worker at the store was quoted as saying.”They were spotted by one of our security guards, a chap of 74, and cops arrived as they were trying to leave. They seemed to find the whole thing funny and couldn’t stop smirking even after they had been arrested.”News 24According to the newspaper, the duo placed a toilet seat in a box for a cheaper model, and attempted to avoid paying for taps by concealing them under a sink.”We all recognised Johnson. They seemed to find the whole thing funny and couldn’t stop smirking even after they had been arrested.”News 24
