The Windhoek Jazz festival brought Namibian music lovers to their feet as a host of artists lit up the Hage Geingob Stadium. South African headlining acts Zahara and Hugh Masekela gave thrilling performances, while Namibian artists turned on the shine. Big Ben, Elemotho, Fu Jazz and Erna Chimu were especially sensational.
This year’s show attracted more than 5 000 music revelers who braced the afternoon heat and freez- ing night temperatures to enjoy the show. Long queues also marred the show which was oth- erwise a success, with people having to wait for long intervals for food and beverages.
