Itula triumphs in London special vote

Panduleni IItula

The Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) beat Swapo in the London special voting exercise with leader Panduleni Itula getting 52 out of a total 127 votes. Swapo’s presidential candidate Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah got 38 votes, followed by the Affirmative Repositioning’s (AR) Job Amupanda with 20 votes.

The Popular Democratic Movement’s (PDM) McHenry Venaani and the Landless People’s Movement’s (LPM) Bernadus Swartbooi got 6 and 5 votes, respectively.

In the special voting exercise for the National Assembly, the IPC secured 40 votes, followed by AR with 30 votes and Swapo with 25 votes. PDM and LPM secured 11 and 9 votes, respectively.
