Today
ConnectUs Namibia is hosting ‘What Is It Good For?’ – a discussion on collaborative governance, where you can learn how shared decision-making can solve big social problems, presented by ConnectUs Founder Alna Dall. It will take place today at The Wolfshack from 15h00. Entry is free.
This Weekend
Vinyls Music And Arts Café presents ‘Broken Records’ this Saturday, featuring DJ Musketeer, Selector O Skool, Shafa and NamGotFunk. Entry is N$50 and doors open at 18h00.
Theatre veteran Sandy Rudd is celebrating ‘Forty Years of Fabulous’ with two gala performances at the National Theatre of Namibia tomorrow at 19h00, and on Saturday, at 16h00. This event will feature Odile Gertze, Lize Ehlers, Haymich Olivier and Ernst Steynberg. Tickets are between N$150 and N$200.
This Saturday there’s a ‘Catwalk For A Cause’ charity fashion show and wine tasting at the Swakopmund Hotel and Entertainment Centre Spitzkoppe Hall. It’s N$650 for general tickets and N$750 for VIP front-row tickets. Doors open from 17h00.
Join the Community Mural Experience and help add colour to Windhoek’s central business district on Saturday at Wolfshack. Come through to learn how to get involved in public art. Paint and some brushes will be provided. All ages are welcome between 09h00 and 13h00. The sessions will continue for the next two Saturdays.
On Sunday, the DRC NG Church in Windhoek is hosting ‘Onder die Bome’, a night of music with the Youth Orchestras of Namibia from 18h00. Entry is N$100 and you can bring your own chairs, picnic blankets and refreshments.

Come through for the second Annual Namibia Marketing Renaissance Conference at Arebbusch Travel Lodge in Windhoek on 20 and 21 May. Next Saturday, 24 May, Vinyls Music and Arts Café is hosting an open mic for poets, musicians and comedians seeking a platform for creative expression. Registration costs N$30. The show begins at 14h30.

Vinyls Music and Art Café hosts a karaoke night every Tuesday from 20h00, and on ‘Wine Wednesdays’ you can pop in for three glasses of their finest for N$150. The special runs all day long.
Forever Dance Academy is hosting kizomba and semba dance lessons every Monday and Wednesday at 12 Hugel Street in Windhoek. Beginners will practise between 18h30 and 19h30, while intermediate and advanced dancers have the 19h30 to 20h30 slot for both days. One drop-in lesson will cost N$100, while packages of eight lessons cost between N$600 and N$700 for individuals and couples, respectively.

Visit the maiden launch of Petrina Ndapanda Mathews’ book ‘Driving Through Life: A Christian Guide From Driving Lessons’ on Saturday, 7 June, at Et Cetera. Entry is N$50 from 16h00.
The Old Apostolic Church is hosting a Dementia Awareness Run to support those affected by the condition on 28 June. There will be a 5km and 10km route from Dagbreek School from 06h30, a family fun walk from 08h30, and food stalls.
