Ithete congratulates Hinda-Mbuende on her Namcor appointment

Deputy prime minister and minister of industries, mines and energy Natangue Ithete has congratulated Maureen Hinda-Mbuende for her appointment as National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) managing director.

Hinda-Mbuende was recommended by Ithete for her corporate experience and knowledge.

Ithete says she will guide Namcor through its current chapter, which he deems as the ‘not so easy’ chapter, and lead it towards greater efficiency, innovation and national impact.

Hinda-Mbuende replaces fraud accused former managing director Imms Mulunga who was sacked by the company a year ago.

Prior to the new appointment, Victoria Sibeya was acting in the position.

Sibeya will now apply her experience in the upstream petroleum portfolio.

“I extend sincere gratitude to Sibeya for her dedicated service to Namcor and the people of Namibia. We take this moment to thank and celebrate the milestones she leaves behind. We are confident that she will continue to serve with excellence and integrity,” says Ithete
