Israeli president Isaac Herzog will be in Zambia for a two-day state visit from 10 to 11 November.

This is the first-ever visit by an Israeli head of state to the country.

Zambia’s minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, Mulambo Haimbe, on Saturday said the visit reciprocates president Hakainde Hichilema’s June 2023 trip to Israel.

“During the visit, the two heads of state are expected to hold bilateral talks at State House within the framework of the general framework agreement of
cooperation signed in 2023,” Haimbe said in a statement.

He said the discussions will focus on strengthening collaboration in key areas such as agriculture, health, education and technology as well as trade and investment.
