JENIN, West Bank – Israeli forces killed three Palestinian militants in a raid near the West Bank town of Jenin yesterday, witnesses and medics said.
The assault by Israeli special forces, backed by helicopter gunships, brought to nine the death toll in back-to-back operations in Jenin and Nablus in the bloodiest day in the West Bank in months.
