Is Homeschooling the Future?

If someone told you about homeschooling a few years ago, you may have laughed it off.

We learned a lot of things when Covid-19 hit us, however.

This was one of them. Homeschooling has since become the norm in some households, and it is here to stay.

It is easier to teach as the teachers adapt to the children’s style of learning.

Discipline issues in congested classrooms are avoided, and children learn about time management from the get-go.

With the constant increase in incidents of bullying in schools and unsafe neighbourhoods for children, is this not the way to go?

My mind says yes, but my pocket says no.

You need to properly set up your house to adopt a school-like environment, and that costs money.

The current Namibian school curriculum is so confusing, and some teachers do not have a passion for teaching any more.

Many of them are just there to earn a salary.

Homeschooling may be the future after all.
