AN independent panel last week concluded interviews for the position of Cricket Namibia’s chief executive officer (CEO).
Incumbent CEO Laurie Pieters told Nampa late last week that five applicants from the initial six were short-listed and interviewed by a panel chaired by Louis van Reenen.Pieters added that the position has attracted interest within and outside Namibia, but said he was not at liberty to disclose the names of the short-listed candidates. He added that Van Reenen has a wealth of experience in human resource management and was the ideal candidate to chair the independent panel. The current CEO will step down at the end of August this year, but he will continue to be at Cricket Namibia in an acting capacity until a new CEO is appointed. – Nampa
