Fnb Insurance Namibia has partnered with Lefa Transportation Services to promote road safety and offer clients safe travel options through a voucher-based benefit.
Speaking at the launch of the event in Windhoek on Tuesday, FNB Insurance chief executive Georg Garrels said the main reason for the launch is to promote road safety.
“When clients want to go out and socialise, they can have a safe way to get home, as well as enjoy other family benefits. FNB Insurance clients will be able to call Lefa drivers to drive them to their homes using two vouchers per month,” he said.
Garrels said while the benefit to promote road safety will primarily apply in Windhoek for now, it will be open to all clients with vehicles covered by FNB Insurance.
“The benefit is for our clients to get off the road in the evening when they are having a couple of drinks, but also for them to use it for their children or any other benefits,” he said.
“The Lefa voucher codes will be readily available to all FNB Insurance clients,” Garrels said.
Lefa marketing manager Iyaloo Magongo said the launch aims to promote responsible driving.
“At Lefa, we are passionate about making urban mobility safer, smarter, and more convenient for all. Today’s collaboration reflects that very mission.
“We are proud to be working alongside FNB Insurance to promote responsible and safe driving, encouraging their insurance clients to use a safe and reliable service,” she said.
Lefa founder Melkisedek Ausiku expressed his gratitude to FNB Insurance for the opportunity.
“Your faith in local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs speaks volumes. I’d like to encourage more corporates to support and partner with more SMEs.
There are many out there doing great things,” he said.
FNB Insurance marketing manager Ileni Shithigona highlighted the broader purpose of the partnership.
“This is about more than just adding value for our clients. It’s about doing our part to keep all Namibians safe on our roads.”
