Independence Day visitors at Katima without water

Several visitors and locals have been left without water since Wednesday morning at Katima Mulilo ahead of the 34th Independence Day celebrations.

Taps around town ran dry around 10h00, and water has not been restored since.

A message circulating on social media says that NamWater is experiencing a technical problem.

Efforts to get a comment from the regional governor Lawrence Sampofu, chief regional officer Regina Ndopu-Lubinda and NamWater chief executive officer Abraham Nehemia were unsuccessful, as all of them did not respond to questions sent to them.
