Rising musician Leonard Makili, better known as Kaboy Kamakili, recently released his third studio album, titled ‘Never Give Up’
The young king, who sprang to popularity in 2019 and has since become one of Namibia’s most popular musicians, says his third album is about encouraging and advising fans during trying times.
“I’m just advising and encouraging everyone,” he says.
The singer, who is famous for the statement “give me a green colour”, says this will not be his last album: “I will keep producing good music, I will make music forever. Winners don’t quit and quitters don’t win.”
He says he worked with more artists than ever before on the new album, such as Tulisan, Manxebe, Top Cheri, Kalux the Superstar, K-dio, Mile, Anchux, Tulison, Wampie G, Mandoza, M-cazzy the Rapper, Longizo and Bughait.
“I did a lot more collaboration than I did on the last album, because I learned that we need to work together to build our music industry,” he says.
The album was produced by Andrew on the Beat, Anchux, Momento, King Mex, Bexxa Catter and Lekel Lewe.
His favorite track is ‘Eendjila’, on which he also encourages people not to give up.
“Do not give up on what you are doing in life, if you go to school, you must study hard. If you are hustling, hustle till you make it, don’t give up because there are haters in life, there are difficulties, so never give up.” – unWrapNews
