A human skeleton was discovered at Onkaankaa village at Otamanzi in the Omusati region on Thursday.
“It is alleged that the skeleton, which consists of a skull, backbone and other parts, suspected to be of a human being, was found in the bushes,” the police say in a statement released on Monday.
During a search of the surrounding area, investigators also recovered blue jeans at what is believed to be the “primary scene”.
The items have since been transported to the Okahao police mortuary for further examination.
The police say the identity of the deceased remains unknown.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
