USING only four software applications, Hidipo Johannes (29) is an online advertising consultant who offers strategy consultation and lifestyle photography.
Johannes founded Hidipo Digital Inc, which is a Facebook and YouTube advertising agency that helps businesses generate leads, sales and gain more clients.
The agency uses data-driven digital marketing strategies to turn people into paying clients.
Johannes started out as a part-time accounts manager at Imwe Namibia Holdings, until he was retrenched.
He then saw a gap in Facebook advertising.
“The industry consists of agencies that only offer to create advertising campaigns for businesses, but not everyone wants that. Some people want to learn and do it themselves, or are already running campaigns, but want an expert’s eye,” he says.
Johannes says he realised he could assist businesses to reach their sales targets through Facebook advertisements.
He says he has invested in a number of courses by industry experts, but emphasises the value of practical experience.
The consultant says there are three common issues with firms’ approach to advertising.
The first issue is finding and targeting ideal clients, he says.
The second is creating the perfect offer that will have clients begging you to take their money, while the third is launching and scaling ads.
The solution to the first issue is prospect sniping, which covers how to research the ideal client.
This is done by creating an accurate image of the ideal client.
“This is important because it allows us to take your ideal customer and create an offer that will cater to their needs,” he says.
The second solution is called creative copy, which involves creating inviting offers aimed at bringing in more committed buyers with every ad campaign the business runs.
“There is no one-fits-all campaign. The best way to find out what’s best for you is by testing, testing and more testing – that’s from the copy, images, offers, videos to even your audience,” Johannes says.
His solution to the third issue is called ‘launch and scale’.
This is where he packages everything he created into a ‘can I buy now?’ offer.
He says the aim is to overwhelm the targeted company with customers, forcing them to hire more people which grows the business.
Johannes says the only way to beat competitors is to outwork and outsmart them.
“I create offers with a guarantee that would have prospective clients wondering if I’m serious about what I’m offering, and it’s usually a solution to a problem that is keeping them awake at night,” he says.
