How Much Is The Moolah Worth?

How Much Is The Moolah Worth?

Tick..tock..tick..tock
The clock is ticking
The time is moving
The end is nearing
And before you know it
It will be the ending

EISH, BBA fans, they say that time waits for no man and though the Revolution is still upon us, the end is inevitably approaching. There’s a little over four weeks left before the grand finale and the announcement of the winner. With that in mind, perhaps now is the opportune time to talk money. Let’s face it, the revolution has money written all over it, in fact the moolah is screaming from the rooftop of the BBA house, it’s all over, under, on top, on the sides, left, right and centre. I mean the stakes are higher this year and it’s not without reason that the prize money was doubled to U$200 000. Point is, there is a lot of loot, oshimaliwa, geld, marisa involved in the revolution. So now, with all that money, how much does the U$200 000 translate into when converted into the local currencies of each of the remaining nine housemates? THE US DOLLAR vs LOCAL CURRENCYWell, let’s start right here at home. If we religiously continue to vote for our boy Eddie until he is the only man left standing in the game on that December night, the humorous Moongo twin will in actual fact be walking away with no less than N$1,4 million because that is pretty how much the US$200 000 adds up to when converted into Namibian dollars. So Namibia, that is a lot of Oshimaliwa and it’s entirely up to us to ensure that it all comes home…Moving on to the brotherman from Robert Mugabe’s land, had it not been for the unceremonious death of the Zim Dollar (praise or blame be unto Robert Mugabe for his leadership), Zimbabwe’s bald-headed Itai would have walked away from the Revolution a multi-billionaire if not a trillionaire. However things have changed and the country is now using the US dollar, which means Itai will be walking away with exactly US$200 0000. Like Itai, Angola’s Emma will also be walking away with the same amount as her country also uses the same currency. Malawi’s Mzamo in all her glory will also be walking away with the same amount as her country also uses that same currency. If Mother Nature remains on her side and she manages to surpass this week’s eviction, or any other until the end, then Tanzania’s Elizabeth could be looking at a hefty sum of about 251 million Tanzania Shilling (TZS) if she emerges the winner. And for our Nigerian peeps, the US$200 000 amounts to about 30.2 million Naira for either Geraldine, Nkenna or Kevin, while Mozambique’s Leonel can look at something between 3.4 million Meticais when the US dollars are converted into the Mozambican currency. With that said, only time and your vote will determine who will walk away with the money…PLANS AND SCAMSMeanwhile, conversations are getting more interesting by the hour with Elizabeth and Emma talking of widowhood. With Emma officially becoming something of a widow last Sunday after her beau, Jeremy was given the boot.Elizabeth yesterday joked about her joining the widow’s camp of the BB house, should Kevin be evicted. Of all the things you could joke about, these two are joking about becoming widows, at their age nogals… eish, these young of people today. However, Keliz (Kevin and Elizabeth) continue to engage in their petty fights with Elizabeth giving Kevin an earful of restrictions she has put in effect when it comes to him not touching her… yawn.Quite an eventful day for Keliz yesterday, sitting on what has come to be known as ‘their’ favourite couch, they expressed concern over Emma who according to them seems to have withdrawn from conversations in the house and mostly hangs alone… Emma said that she was okay and feels like she would be intruding on Keliz’s seemingly interesting conversations. She says they look cute together and always seem to be laughing. Elizabeth laughed and said that she and Kevin mostly fight… THERE’S A BIRDIN MY DREAMSNow, a lot of twak can be said about gossipers, and so much more about a man who gossips! It’s no wonder Itai’s dreams are being haunted by a dying bird. It seems the man has a problem taming his tongue when it comes to other housemates and it’s got some viewers angry. Some BBA viewers’ venting radars concerning Itai’s loathed habit is at an all-time high. One viewer complained ‘Itai is like a woman, always gossiping’. Well, Tuesday night saw Itai telling Geraldine that he has a recurring nightmare that involves a dying bird. He says the nightmare started when he visited his grandmother’s village as a boy and hit a turkey in the head with a stone.Quite confusing really… but like I said, perhaps there’s a connection between the man’s gossiping habit and that dream… perhaps it’s a warning for him to bury his habit and at the same time bury the dream… Well, keep watching.Tune in to DStv Channel 198 to catch the intrigue live 24/7, or watch the highlights shows on M-Net (channel 102) and AfricaMagic (channel 114).
