I am writing to request that the Ministry of Health and Social Services provide patients at Katutura Intermediate Hospital and Windhoek Central Hospital with more blankets.
As a frequent visitor to both hospitals, I have noticed that many of the blankets available to patients are old, worn out, and not very warm.
This is of concern as I know many patients are already struggling with their health and should not have to worry about being cold or uncomfortable while they are hospitalised.
In particular, I have noticed that many of the blankets are too light and do not provide adequate warmth for patients.
This is especially concerning during the colder months when patients are more susceptible to illness and need to stay warm to aid their recovery.
I would like to request that the ministry take action to provide new and high-quality blankets for hospital patients.
This would go a long way in ensuring they are comfortable and able to focus on their recovery.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
