High-level powwow on City power tariffs

THE Office of the Attorney General and the Ministry of Mines and Energy will meet with the Electricity Control Board (ECB) on Monday to discuss the overpriced electricity tariffs most Windhoek businesses and residents have been paying since July.

While the Windhoek Municipality maintains that its increase of over 10 per cent was justified, the ECB publicly stated that consumers were overcharged.
