‘Heroes never die’ – Judea Lyaboloma residents remember Nujoma

Judea Lyaboloma Constituency councillor Divai Humphrey says people are in shock following the death of founding president Sam Nujoma on 8 February.

“As president of Namibia, the community believe Nujoma improved their living standards and [the] facilities of Namibia’s black population, who had suffered for decades under apartheid,” he says.

He says Nujoma worked hard to make Namibia a country built on equality, where people of all races could live together in peace.

Humphrey says heroes never die; they live on forever in the hearts and minds of those who would follow in their footsteps.

“Our prayers are with the entire Nujoma family and the nation at large,” he says.
