Jordan Hermann struck a career-best 53 to help South Africa beat Zimbabwe by 48 runs on Sunday in the final of a Twenty20 tri-series hosted by Namibia.
South Africa won the toss, batted and posted 205-5in Windhoek. Hermann’s 29-ball innings included eight four and one six.
The player-of-the-match award winner was dismissed after miscuing a Brad Evans delivery, which allowed Ryan Burl to make a catch a long on.
Zimbabwe, who lost twice to South Africa in the league phase, did well to reach 157 in 18 overs after losing four wickets off the first 23 balls.
They were 81-8 before Evans hit out, slamming four sixes and four fours in an unbeaten 56. He put on 52 runs for the ninth wicket with Kundai Matigimu (19).
An experimental South African side, missing resting Temba Bavuma and injured Kagiso Radaba, now play Namibia in three one-day internationals from Wednesday.
