Help Cinderellas get to their matric balls

EVERY high school senior should be able to celebrate his or her matric farewell properly, but having no dress or suit to wear may spoil the enjoyment of the graduation party.

Realising that this is the case for many orphans, Catholic AIDS Action has launched project Cinderella. For the second year, the organisation is collecting evening clothes to help needy children go to their matric farewell.”If you have such clothes in storage that you do not use, there is a child who is about to finish Grade 12 and will be overjoyed to wear it,” says Nadia Belete of the organisation’s branch in the Khomas Region.”The clothes will remain the property of Catholic Aids Action and after use, they are returned to us.We will store them and they will be used again next year,” Belete explains. There is a particular need for boys’ suits, but dresses are also very welcome. Those who do not wish to give away dresses or suits can lend them to the organisation. After the matric ball, the clothes will be dry-cleaned and returned in the same condition they arrived in.Those wishing to help graduates to become Cinderella or Prince Charming for an evening, can contact Nadia Belete at Catholic AIDS Action at tel.(061) 23 4221 or e-mail caaka@mweb.com.naFor the second year, the organisation is collecting evening clothes to help needy children go to their matric farewell.”If you have such clothes in storage that you do not use, there is a child who is about to finish Grade 12 and will be overjoyed to wear it,” says Nadia Belete of the organisation’s branch in the Khomas Region.”The clothes will remain the property of Catholic Aids Action and after use, they are returned to us.We will store them and they will be used again next year,” Belete explains. There is a particular need for boys’ suits, but dresses are also very welcome. Those who do not wish to give away dresses or suits can lend them to the organisation. After the matric ball, the clothes will be dry-cleaned and returned in the same condition they arrived in.Those wishing to help graduates to become Cinderella or Prince Charming for an evening, can contact Nadia Belete at Catholic AIDS Action at tel.(061) 23 4221 or e-mail caaka@mweb.com.na
