THE Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) has appointed Helena Mootseng as its acting chief executive officer (CEO).
In a statement released on Wednesday, the NCCI says Mootseng’s appointment, effective 8 October, comes as the recruitment process for a new CEO kicks off.
This follows Charity Mwiya’s five-year tenure ending on 30 September.
“Mootseng, currently seconded from her role as executive of corporate affairs at the Namibia Diamond Trading Company since 2013, brings extensive experience and expertise to this position,” says NCCI SME development officer Antonia Dumbu-Udeh.
Dumbu-Udeh says NCCI is confident Mootseng’s leadership will effectively guide the company through the transitional period while continuing to meet the needs of NCCI members and the wider business community.
