Health sector boosted as Ohorongo Cement donates N$3.3m medical equipment

Ohorongo Cement donated medical equipment worth N$3.3 million to the Ministry of Health and Social Services in Windhoek on Wednesday.

The donation includes infant incubators, hospital beds, mattresses, bedside tables, medical scales and other critical equipment.

Ohorongo Cement spokesperson Sion Amalovu on Wednesday said the donation was a partnership with its corporate social investment partner, Support Ulm eV, which is a German non-profit.

“While modest in size, the consignment is significant in purpose – supporting healthcare facilities and, most importantly, helping to protect the lives of newborn babies, who represent the future of Namibia,” he said.

Amalovu said the donation was supported by Blaauws Transport, GenMed Enterprises, and Woker Freight Services, which provided logistical and technical support.
