Havana woman stabbed to death

Selestine Shilongo (41) was allegedly murdered by her lover at Havana in Windhoek on Monday.

The incident was confirmed by Khomas police spokesperson Silas Shipandeni, who said a 41-year-old suspect has been arrested.

The suspect allegedly stabbed Shilongo three times in the back with a kitchen knife, Shipandeni said.

He said Shilongo lost her life due to her injuries and was pronounced dead by City of Windhoek paramedics.

The couple had a relationship characterised by violence, and the murder weapon has been recovered, Shipandeni said.
