Hardap sluices opened

LUQMAN CLOETE THE sluices of the Hardap Dam were opened on Saturday evening after continuous rains in its catchment area had increased the reservoir’s level to 71,8 per cent .

The Mariental Town Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Nghiwilepo, yesterday said NamWater had ordered the release of water at a rate of 200 cubic metres per second on Saturday at 21h00.
