A farmer in the Hardap region died after an aircraft accident at his farm in the Kalkrand area on Saturday morning.
Hardap police commissioner John Mwatongwe confirmed that the incident took place on Saturday at around 09h30, at farm Grass in the Kalkrand area.
The farmer has been identified as Johannes Jakobus Spangenberg. His son, Gerrit Spangenberg, who was also on board, was injured.
Mwatongwe said the farmer died at the scene when his microlight aircraft crash-landed.
The police are at the scene and the Directorate of Aircraft Accident and Incident Investigations has been informed.
