A man who is employed as a security guard at NamWater dam at Omatemba village in Ruacana constituency in the Omusati region allegedly raped and impregnated a 14-year-old pupil between January and 4 June, this year.
According to the crime report issued by Omusati police regional commander, Ismael Basson, it is alleged that the suspect had raped the minor several times and impregnated her.
The suspect has not been arrested yet although he is well known by the complainant.
In a separate incident, an eight-year-old boy was allegedly raped by a 15-year-old boy on Sunday, 21 May 2023 at about 14h00 at Okalindi village, Oshikuku Constituency.
It is alleged that the suspect had raped the minor who was alone in the house.
This happened after the suspect went to the victim’s house for a bath.
The victim is from Okalindi village and a Grade 2 pupil at Olupumbu Combined School.
The suspect is yet to be arrested.
