Griquas beat Namibia

GRIQUALAND West beat Namibia by 140 runs to win their three-day SAA Challenge match at the Wanderers field on Saturday.

Set a huge total of 422 for victory, Namibia’s tail end crumbled, and despite a fine century by Gerrie Snyman, they were all out for 273 runs to give Griquas a comfortable victory. Griquas received 16,96 bonus points, while Namibia received 5,52 bonus points.Namibia started the match off well and had Griquas in trouble at 119/8 at lunch on the first day.Griquas’ tailenders however managed to recover, while Namibian fielders dropped two crucial catches.Jandre Coetzee scored 37 not out, Anthony Mabuya scored 26 and Deon Carolus 16 as the visitors recovered to reach a
