Greg Field to take role as Deep Yellow’s CEO

Greg Field, who was announced as Deep Yellow’s managing director and chief executive in early December 2025, will commence his role on 2 February.

This was confirmed by Deep Yellow’s board.

The mining company, which operates the Tumas Uranium Project in the Erongo region, has expressed gratitude to acting chief executive Craig Barnes for serving the role.

According to Deep Yellow’s executive chair, Chris Salisbury, Barnes will return to his role as chief financial officer once Field assumes his position.

“The board is pleased to have Greg start earlier in the role. We are looking forward to Greg’s considerable experience and his leadership as we move towards critical decisions for our Tumas Project and other developments in our portfolio,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Deep Yellow is a mid-cap uranium company developing a portfolio of tier-1 assets in Namibia and Australia.

The company aims to become a multi-mine producer with an annual output of over 10 million pounds (about 4.5 million kilograms), ensuring long-term supply security in a growing market.

In Namibia, its focus has been on its flagship Tumas Project, which has grown since 2017 through exploration and development work.
