Gracieta Eiseb joins art world

Gracieta Eiseb

Sixteen-year old Gracieta Eiseb, who a few years ago took the country by storm with her creative skills, recently joined the art world with her drawings and artwork.

Eiseb says she recently showcased her art pieces at Eldorado Secondary School.

To perfect her art skills and knowledge, she also attended art and craft holiday classes in Windhoek in June.

Eiseb is a Grade 10 pupil at Eldorado Secondary School in Windhoek.

She says her mother was the first to inspire her to venture into the art world.

“I asked my mother if she could show me how to draw a flower and I loved it. All I wanted was to continue. I love art. I love drawing because I get to express myself, my emotions and thoughts,” she says.

Eiseb’s fondness for art started developing when she just in kindergarten and it continued throughout her primary school years and now, in high school.

“I have only been busy with self portraits lately because I am still trying to understand who I am. I would sometimes show my art to my friends at school or my teachers. Almost everyone knows about me because of that. School events or a drawing for a teacher, is when they see my designs. Besides self portraits, I also do all kinds of art styles but I mostly focus on realistic and horror,” she says.

Eiseb urges youngsters to do what they are passionate about. She encourages them to get out of their comfort zones, follow their hearts and do whatever good they can.
