The government has approved a proposal to introduce mental health safe spaces in all offices, ministries and agencies (OMAs).
This was announced by information and communication technology minister Emma Theofelus last week, following the 22nd Cabinet meeting of the year.
The safe spaces are intended to allow employees to raise concerns and seek support without fear of stigma or discrimination.
The government also instructed OMAs to strengthen wellness committees.
These committees will receive training and work with the Ministry of Health and Social Services to monitor and evaluate the initiative.
The decision is aimed at improving employee wellness and maintaining a healthy workforce.
