While some tourism groups have recently launched membership programmes promising travel perks, Gondwana Collection Namibia has been running a well-established, value-driven membership model for nearly two decades.
The Gondwana Card, launched in 2007, remains one of the most affordable and effective ways for Namibians and Southern African Development Community (Sadc) residents to explore the country at discounted rates.
With over 110 000 active members, the card gives locals 50% off accommodation, 25% off dinners and activities, and up to 50% off camping at select Gondwana properties across Namibia. Sadc nationals enjoy slightly reduced discounts.
Unlike other membership schemes that offer limited deals or complicated terms, the Gondwana Card is simple: pay N$300 once for adults (valid for five years), N$150 for children, and start saving immediately. Every traveller must have their own card to qualify.
As of June 2025, the programme has gone fully digital, no more plastic cards, just identity verification at check-in.
From Etosha to the Zambezi, the Gondwana Card helps stretch travel budgets and puts real value behind the word ‘membership’. If you don’t have one yet, now’s the time.
