Gobabis Cops Don’t Act

I AM a resident of Gobabis and very unhappy with the way the Police here are operating.

My problem is the Police are not doing their job the way they are supposed to. The problem is there is one man who likes to beat people up, and on top of that he tells his victims that even though they may report him, they will lose the case as the Police won’t do anything about it, because they are his cousins or friends. And that is true. This guy beats up people for their money or shoes or no good reason, and he gets away with assault, and no one does anything about it.I am sick and tired of Police not doing their job. They are aware of him beating up people but they never lock him up.Why? Because they are friends who drink and socialise together. If this is the case, where are we headed? How will people know that they are safe and protected by the Police, if they cover up for and do not apprehend such people? This guy thinks that he is the king of Gobabis, that’s why he beats up people for no reason. Also when you call Police for a domestic violence case they tell you to handle it yourself, because its a waste of time.As far as I’m concerned domestic violence is a big criminal offence.Anonymous Via e-mailThe problem is there is one man who likes to beat people up, and on top of that he tells his victims that even though they may report him, they will lose the case as the Police won’t do anything about it, because they are his cousins or friends. And that is true. This guy beats up people for their money or shoes or no good reason, and he gets away with assault, and no one does anything about it.I am sick and tired of Police not doing their job. They are aware of him beating up people but they never lock him up.Why?
