Today
This evening from 17h00 is MarketShift: Redefining The Financial Markets of Namibia, a professional, in-person trading education event designed to change how trading is understood and approached in Namibia at Furstenhof Protea Hotel.
You’ll experience beginner-friendly explanations of how the financial markets work, insight into live, guided learning environments, an introduction to modern tools and training. Entry is N$150.
Also tonight, the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre in Windhoek presents the Cinematic Roots Screening Series starting with film ‘Hyenas’ from 18h00. Admission is free to see this Djibril Mambley directed flick about a woman who returns to her village with a daring plan for revenge and retaliation fuelled by class struggles, issues of patriarchy and moral questions.
The film is in Wolof (a Niger-Congo language) with English subtitles.
Saturday
Celebrate International Women’s Day with a fitness session involving movement, energy and connection at Avani Windhoek. There will be a fun and empowering step class led by guest instructor Atlast, followed by a delicious breakfast experience at Stratos Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino from 08h00.
This Saturday is ‘Newborn Brain Essentials’, a four hour workshop celebrating the immense importance of pregnancy, birth and the first six weeks of a child’s life. Learn how to make the most of the brain, birth, bonding, breastfeeding and body development and much more in an interactive setting. The 09h00 to 13h00 session will take place for N$1 350 per person at Sho Sho Close, Walvis Bay.
Also on Saturday is Bloom Agriculture Namibia’s practical horticulture training on the production of tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cabbage, onions, watermelons and other crops at the Namibia Institute of Professional and Innovation. Entry is N$500 for the 20h45 session.
Next week
From 11 to 14 March, the National Ballet School is staging ‘Peter Pan’ at the National Theatre of Namibia. The first three shows start at 19h00, and on Saturday it starts at 10h00.
From next Thursday to Sunday is Fractal Festival, a four-day desert music experience with psytrance and electronic dance music across two stages. Entry costs range between general admission camping and luxury accommodation packages, starting at N$1 200 for four days of music, art and community gathering, camping under the stars, and curated immersive spaces surrounded by the Spitzkoppe Mountain Range.

Drop in on Quiz Night and flex your cerebral cortex at Piccolo Cafe and Lounge every Tuesday from 18h30. Entry is N$30 per person for groups of maximum six.
On Wednesdays you can also grab two ice cold beers from the tap for the price of one at Vinyls Music and Arts Cafe.
The Speakeasy in Liliencron Street is hosting Ladies’ Night every Wednesday with 50% off of all cocktails and meal options available.
Every Thursday Kat Stahl is hosting Swing Dance Classes at Delta Kindergarten between 18h00 and 19h00. Participation is N$150 per person per class. No Experience or partner needed.
Every other Thursday is a social activities event, ‘Make Friends and Bla Bla Language Exchange’, at Urban Oasis Apartments in Windhoek from 20h00 to 22h00. Come through, mingle and get acquainted free of charge.
Fridays you can now join Nice Dance Kizomba dance classes at their Windhoek Academy between 17h30 and 19h00 at the National Theatre of Namibia Rehearsal Room. Lessons are N$100 per person.
The National Theatre of Namibia is hosting the Stage Actors Training Lab 2026 every Saturday in their Rehearsal Room between 09h00 and 13h00. These sessions are for aspiring actors, emerging performers and professional actors seeking to refine their craft. N$50-per-class tickets are only available via Webtickets.
Beyond
There’s an Easter Night Market on Friday, 27 March at Dagbreek School for persons with intellectual disabilities. Doors are open between 18h00 and 22h00 and there will be food and drinks, other stalls, entertainment and activities.
