Today, the Swapo Party leadership and entire rank and file remembers and pays tribute to president Hage Gottfried
Geingob, who passed away on this day, 4 February 2024.
His unwavering dedication to the struggle for equal opportunities for all Namibians, resilience and passion for the people and leadership, will always be remembered by the Swapo Party and will continue to reignite our commitment to a better Namibia for all.
In remembrance of our third president, Dr Hage G Geingob, Swapo pays tribute to a true leader whose revolutionary spirit still lives on. His enduring vision will continue to guide our nation towards a future of unity, equality, and prosperity.
Our country’s democratic milestones are indeed a testament to the vision espoused by leaders like Comrade Geingob, in their selfless efforts for a progressive nation, united under the mantra of ‘One Namibia, One Nation’, where all live in peace and harmony.
Strides made in relation to undoing the injustices of the colonial era, advancement of women’s rights, democracy, access to free
education, quality healthcare, improved rights of the workers,
socio-economic development, and a range of constitutional and
legislative progressive outcomes, are all an attestation of a solid
foundation, led by the generation of president Hage Geingob.
