Gazza says the concert will be much bigger than any other concert in Namibia, as the show will feature local artists only, and will celebrate all his music videos which have reached a million views.
The kwaito hitmaker secured a whopping one million views in 2016 on YouTube for his video for ‘Chelete’, a first for a Namibian artist’s solo song, followed by ‘Brandewyn’, and Gazza’s hit single ‘Get it On’, featuring Suzy Eises.
“The plan was for this year, but l have realised it would clash with other shows that are currently happening.
“I will be hosting it earlier next year. A lot of my videos have now reached a million views, and it is a call for another celebration for me. I am planning to make it bigger than Koffi’s and Burna Boy’s shows,” he says.
“I was the first one in Namibia to have videos that reached one million views, and this has opened doors for me. I encourage other artists to do the same in terms of celebrating their views, because no one is small. Never be afraid to celebrate your achievement,” he says.
Gazza says the Gazza-Milli show’s planning has already started, and it will take place in the heart of Katutura.
“We want to send a message for Namibians to believe in us, and whatever they give, for our industry to grow. Our industry have been undermined for so long, and we cannot be like that for a long time. I know we are a small nation, but we will make it big.
“We have to start big ourselves, and Namibian music should be respected and be consumed just like people consume South African or any other music,” he says.
