Gazza drops ‘Selima’ single

Kwaito superstar Gazza will reach another milestone in his glittering music career when he releases the single of his current hit ‘Selima’ by the end of this week.

The CD, which will also contain a music video of the song, will consist of six tracks including remixes of his hit ‘Shukusha’ and ‘Passop’, a collaboration with DJ Cleo which won him the Channel O Most Gifted Kwaito award in 2009.The rest of the CD will contain remixes of ‘Selima’ in jazz and instrumental versions while the GMP icon will also surprise his fans with the Oshiwambo version of ‘Ojerka’.’This is going to be something different, a first ever in Namibia. It is unlike the radio singles that we local artists normally release. ‘Selima’ is an old school-like song which is deliberately designed to appeal to the older as well as the new generation.’It has the groove of the 70s and the swag of the millenium. I promise you this song is going to wow a lot of people. This is the kind of music no one has ever expected from Gazza and I am thrilled,’ Gazza said.He pointed out that the mixing of the single went well and that he was very positive that the album would be the talk of town once it hits radio and television stations.Meanwhile, Gazza announced that he will drop his highly-anticipated album in November.
