Fuel supply stable, says Amutse

Industries, mines and energy minister Modestus Amutse says Namibia has sufficient fuel supply and there is no need for panic buying.

He said this during a press conference at the Government Information Centre (GIC) on Friday.

He noted that global oil prices remain sensitive to developments in the Middle East, particularly shipping routes and production levels, which may affect local fuel prices but not availability.

The government has reduced fuel levies by 50% to help keep prices stable, and the public is urged to buy responsibly and avoid hoarding. – Ministry of Information and Communication Technology
